Look what just arrived in the mail today: the ‘2009 ThinkFast’ banner from Development & Peace.

ThinkFast is a 24-hour fasting event used to promote social justice within the global community. This year’s ThinkFast was held in April with 19 participants and raised over $1000 for Development & Peace – the most successful to date!

I’m excited to announce that this year’s service project is set for Saturday, November 28th from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. As announced in a previous post, this year’s service project will be held at Siloam Mission. The plan is to meet at St. Ignatius parish to make sandwiches for the needy, then head over to Siloam Mission for a tour and presentation on homelessness within our city of Winnipeg. This event is for those in grade 8 and up.
